How does the app work with existing Shopify blog comments?

Better Blog Comments does not work with Shopify's existing blog comment system, unfortunately. 

This means that if you install Better Blog Comments, while having Shopify's blog system enabled; your customers will likely see two different comment sections. This could get quite confusing for them!

The best approach here is to open up your Shopify theme editor and hide the blog section; or if that is not possible, you can simply disable blog comments via the Shopify Admin interface.

Disabling Shopify's Blog Comments

1. Open up your Shopify store admin Blogs page:

yourstoredomain.myshopify.com/admin/blogs

2. Click on the blog category title that you'd like to disable comments on (potentially you'd want to do this with every blog here):

3. Click the radio box on the right hand side of the page to toggle it to "Comments are disabled":

4. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page, and you are done! Repeat this step for all of your blogs.

At this point, Better Blog Comments will be the only comment section showing up on your blog post page and you are ready to start using the app!
